| Two Suspects for Masbate governor's ambush attempt were identified | |
| The two suspects in the roadside bombing of Gov. Elisa Kho of Masbate were identified. The incident took place last Sunday morning in Barangay Gahit, about five kilometers from Cataingan town proper. Chief Superintendent, Paterno Bangui, who is the Bicol police director, identified a former member of Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit, Joel Atibago, and a certain Yabit Yanson of Barangay Gahit as responsible for the ambush. Bangui, stated Greg Banares,spokesman of the NDF Bicol, said the ambush was perpetrated by the Jose Rapsing Command of the New People's Army (NPA) in Masbate.
