	Two Suspects for Masbate governor's ambush attempt were identified
	The two suspects in the roadside bombing of Gov. Elisa Kho of Masbate were identified. The incident took place last Sunday morning in Barangay Gahit, about five kilometers from Cataingan town proper. Chief Superintendent, Paterno Bangui, who is the Bicol police director, identified a former member of Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit, Joel Atibago, and a certain Yabit Yanson of Barangay Gahit as responsible for the ambush. Bangui, stated Greg Banares,spokesman of the NDF Bicol, said the ambush was perpetrated by the Jose Rapsing Command of the New People's Army (NPA) in Masbate. Banares also said the primary target of the roadside bomb was the 507 Police Provincial Mobile Group vehicle providing security escort to the governor....Read Full Article

	Attempt Murder on Vice Mayor
	Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) & the Philippine Army arrested the suspect in the alleged attempt to kill the vice mayor of Milagros town in Masbate. 	Bio Warning in Masbate for Red Tide
	The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources issued a warning over the weekend that red tide is active in Masbate, Sorsogon and Zamboanga del Sur. The public should refrain from buying and eating all types of shellfish from these areas, particularly those harvested from the Juag Lagoon in Matnog and Sorsogon Bay in Sorsogon, the coastal waters of Milagros in Masbate, and Dumanguilas Bay in Zamboaga del Sur. BFAR, an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA), noted that marine organisms have accumulated high levels of toxin from the microscopic dinoflagellate known to scientists as Pyrodinium bahamense var. compressum that causes the red-tide phenomenon.....Read Full Article

	Montenegro Shipping Lines to Start Manila-Masbate-Cebu via RORO
	BATANGAS-BASED Montenegro Shipping Lines, which is based in Batanga, will form a bus company as part of its goal to connect Manila and Cebu via Masbate using roll-on/roll-off (RORO) vessels. Roro bus Transport Services, Inc., intends to start operations with 16 buses and two vessels by April. The bus will leave Manila for Batangas Port. 	Joint Armed Forces Exercise Scheduled With US Military

	Vice Mayor of Milagros dies in Makati Hospital
	The vice mayor of Milagros Masbate who was wounded in an ambush last February 3 in Masbate province has died last Saturday evening in a Makati hospital. Senior Inspector Vincent Eliot Vazques of Milagros police said Vice-Mayor Antonio de Jesus died 9 p.m. Saturday in a private hospital in Makati City.
